If you don’t find a customer’s company name on the quotation/proforma invoices or sale invoice.

First check the nature of the customer—whether he is your actual customer or a walk-in customer.

Basically, there are two options given: Add new or Add contact.

Add new is used to add your actual customer, while Add contact belongs to walk-in customers. We call walk-in customers “query customers” because they don’t know about our product and service, but there is a probability that they can convert into our customers.

If you know that your customer is a walk-in customer, coming only for the quotes. For that purpose, the user will use the add contact option to add the new walk-in customer’s information. (The user can also get access to add walk-in customers through the sale section. Both sections are used for the same purpose.

While creating a quotation or proforma invoice, if you find that your customer is a walk-in customer and you are providing him only a quotation, then go to the “Go to” option written in blue font, i.e., “Add Contact.”
